Born and raised in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Robin Batista is a freelance photographer with a diverse portfolio, ranging from fashion and commercial to more intimate moments, such as weddings and self-portraits. Robin obtained an advanced certificate in photography from CMYK Academy in India. He also works with a team of professional cinematographers to produce and create unique photography and video packages as per client requests.
Robin has photographed over 500 weddings over the span of 10 years, incorporating Zanzibar’s rich and diverse culture and backdrops. He honors his homeland through ensuring that each photograph captures the essence and beauty of Zanzibar. Couples from all over the world seek the scenic geography of Zanzibar to host their weddings, and over the years Robin has tailored his craft to capture the magic of a once in a lifetime moment.
Robin Batista also displays and sells his photographs and prints in his very own art gallery located right in the heart of Stonetown; Gizenga street, Zanzibar. With the recent high demand in drone photography and cinematography, Robin is trained in using model drones like DJI Mavic 2 pro to capture aerial photography and videos for weddings on the various coast lines of Zanzibar.
